Long Wallet for my Elder Sister

Just finished this long wallet last Sunday. Really happy that I have made up my mind to challenge this type of long wallet. Well, this is not as hard as I thought though. Enjoy reading~

My sister prefer to have a plain wallet with her favourite blue color. She doesn't really fancy with those flower or lady thingy. She always commented that my handmade to damn lady like. T^T

It took me quite a long time to start this project just to choose the right color fabric for matching. I know I will hate the final product if it's too plain as that is not my type. hehehe

This is the cards' & cash compartment. The last space is where to put the cash. Did you see the kitty cat? hehehe

Now, more spaces for cards & coins! Total have 20 spaces for this wallet. My sister told me she want a lot of spaces.

Another clearer view for the spaces. I used 120g batting and thick stabilizer for the outer layer only. Nice boh?

Can't stop snapping more photos for this wallet as I don't know when I will try to do this type of wallet again.

Here you are, a clearer view of this kitty cat zipper. Isn't she cute? My sister really love cats. That is why I choose this zipper head for her.

Wallet for my MIL

This wallet is custom made for my mom in law. She told me that she need a wallet just to bring to buy vegetables at the supermarket. Only need few space for cards and a coin department. Total only have 6 spaces for money, cards & coin. Next time have to use leather snap button as this kind of design can't put too much money inside. Otherwise, the button unable to buckle up. T^T

Tote Bag for Myself

Finished this bag quite sometime ago and now only have the time to upload it. Sorry ye, the lazy worm inside my body don't want to wake up. **LOL**This is the front size of the bag. I have used 120g batting which is available at my craft supplies' blog HERE. This is a light weight bag indeed.
And this is the other side of the bag. I have used up the whole 1 meter of this street fabric. I haven't count natural linen fabric some more. I think total I have used up about 1.5 meter fabric just for this simple bag.
Well, my first attempt to sew up the zipper like this. Quite like it.
Many pockets inside the bag to hold my daughter's thingy. Very good to use especially during traveling.
One zipper pocket hidden inside a big pocket.
And finally, the bottom of the bag. I purposely used the dark color fabric so that it won't get dirty too easy.

Cherry Strawberry Tote Bag

This is my latest creation! I have actually bought this canvas fabric from Maymayshop and plan to use it long time ago. I just can't figure out how to match the fabric until I saw this red stripe fabric in my collection and I thought it might just work out. Without drawing any pattern on paper like I used to be, I directly use a paper bag to get the size and draw on the fabric directly. After cutting done, then, I get started to sew & sew! Well, the idea of where to sew the handmade label, lace, pocket, closure and handle design, they just pop out in my mind along the way I sew the bag.

This is how the lace look on the bottom of the bag. Doesn't really looks like what I had imagined in my mind. LOL...

These are the handle using think lobster clasp and eyelet. Very tiring on hammering the 4 eyelets and 8 rivet buttons on the handle. The closure was using the mini rose 1.2cm snap button. Really cute!

I actually like the inner of the bag the most. Can't keep myself to fall in love with this natural linen color recently. It does match with almost any colors! I sew one zipped pocket one side and the other side like the below photo.

After turn the bag inside out. Oh ya, there is a place where you can actually put your pen. Did you saw it at the side of the bag which have lace one? hahaha
If you don't mind the magnetic button is outside of the bag, you can actually use both side of the bag!

That's the zipped pocket and the below photo is inside the zipper pocket with some nice flowers.

That's how it looks after the outside in inside. hahaha... Dunno what I am talking about already. Anyway, hope you enjoy reading!

Felt Tote Bag!

First time ever using felt to make a tote bag and I really love it! I bought the felt from Daiso which the quality is good. Thicker compare what I have bought previously.

The key bag charm that I made with antique bronze findings & clay flower, it can be wear as a bracelet too. Kinda like the dangling feel. ^^

Overall, this is just a simple tote bag. Made with 2 tones of brown color, round shape on the bottom part, handle, 1 open pocket with lace and a key holder (lobster hook) inside the bag (you won't have any trouble looking for your key later). No closure for this bag. ^^

Really sad that not able to snap a better photo for the bag. My camera not able to focus at all. T^T

I actually finished this tote bag before new year but haven't got the time to upload it until now. This time, I try to make my own pattern and the outcome not really that bad at all. Still have rooms to improve more. ^^

I got the booties' pattern from Cotton Life's Magazine and I love them very much. The booties took me quite sometime to finish them as they are very small for me. Luckily they are ready a day before the fullmoon day!

Finally, I have made my very 1st own tote bag. Even though the design is simple, but I am really proud and love it!

P/S: I got the pattern from Emma's House and I modified a bit to fit my own need.

Got a long zipper to keep all my belongings inside safe.
Another inner zipper to put my private klik klak things
Another 2 pockets at the other side of the bag.

Very spacious and roomy enough for my busy daily activities.

She learned to quilt on Monday. Her Stitches were very fine.
星期一，她學會了拼布．她的針法真是不錯．
She forgot to thaw out dinner, So we went out dine.
但她忘了把我們的晚餐解凍，所以我們只好出門果腹．
She quilted miniatures Tuesday. She says they are a must.
星期二，她開始做迷你拼布．她說這是少不得的歨驟．
They really were quite lovely, But she forgot to dust.
迷你拼布真是可愛，但她卻忘了打掃我們的房屋．
On Wednesday, it was a sampler. She says the stripling's fun.
星期三，要做樣本拼布，她說彎曲壓線技巧很有趣．
What highlights! Oh what shadows! But the laundry wasn't done.
好個凸顯主題！好個陰影處理!但她卻忘了洗衣服．
Her charm quilt was on Thursday. Green patches, blue and red.
星期四是魔法拼布，用的是綠色ˋ藍色和紅色的布．
I guess she relly was engrossed; She never made the bed.
我想她真的是全心投入，因為她從不整理床鋪．
It was wallhangings on Friday, In colors she adores.
星期五，是做壁飾的日子，用的是她喜歡的顏色．
But she never seemed to notice the crumbs on all the floors.

I found a maid on Saturday! My week is now complete.

Pencil Box with Handle (笔袋)

My first tryout to use a waterproof fabric. My tears nearly drop off during the progress. Well, the fabric is thicker than the other type of fabrics and I am facing trouble to choose the right footer for the machine. It takes me few hours to finish it. Luckily, the pencil box came out right on time as I am giving it to my niece as her birthday present! I hope she likes it as much as I did. Phew~

I made this wallet as a birthday gift for my youngest sister. I choosed this fabric that I recently bought from my outstation trip. Really love the colorful colors on the fabric. I even hand sewn her name on the wallet. First time did that but I am proud of myself for the outcome. Wahaha...
Well, the size for this wallet is kinda big for me, but I knew that my sister wouldn't mind (She likes to bring her bag with her and the wallet will not takes too much space in her bag. ^^). Enjoy the photos!

My previous diapers bag was old and torn already. So, I have to sew another one to replace it. I browse my sewing book and finally made up my decision for this pattern. After draw the pattern on the trace paper, I still can't figure out how to sew the bag. Then I think maybe after cut the fabric, then I will understand. However, after cutted the fabric out, I still don't understand how to sew it. Something is wrong with the pattern I guess. So I seek help from my handmade friend Belinda, YeeNChee to see what's wrong with the pattern. Then in no time, she figure out that the pattern was actually wrong! 高手就是高手。只是看一看纸型就知道是错的。OMG, what am I gonna do with the fabrics? I have to cut and join the fabric into the right cm lor. Luckily, not too much work on that part. ^^ Finally, here you are, my bag for viewing purpose only. ^0^

What am I busy about for the last few weeks? Jeng Jeng Jeng... My latest project of a Tote Laptop Bag is here! I made this for my little sister who really in love with PINK color!! Well, it shouldn't took that much of time to make this bag, just like I don't have time to concentrate on it. Busy with my job and at the same time have to take care of my lil girl.
Since this is my first tote bag, there are a lot of places that need to improve. The batting was not thick enough and maybe should double the layer of the handle so that more harder.
Anyway, I really likes the outcome. Cute + girly looks. ^0^

These pouches was custom made for Ms JL. She choosed the fabric (castle) and want me to match one in Blue and one in Red color. So I matched them with the checkers fabric (1st time use checkers fabric though). I think the colour really went well together and I love them very much. I hope Miss JL will love them too!

My latest project. A handbag!!!

I made this bag for my sister in law as she bought this fabric for me from Taiwan. So, I took the chance to make a bag and I did it!

I bought a book that teaches me to make bags and I guess the book works well to me.

I use the prong snap button at the handle so the length can be adjusted as per your preferance (This is not listed in the book). Actually, the book teach me to use the leather handle but I dont have it. So I came out with this idea. I also make an inner zip pocket but the result came out a bit failure. I sew it too near the top area. Will make it better next time! This bag is not big but roomy enough to put your belongings. So, any comment ma? ^0^

Lady Sue Dark Blue Wallet (ST005)

Another wallet I made for a friend of mine. She prefer to have darker color fabric for outside of the wallet to prevent get dirty easily. So I choosed this fabric of lady sue in dark blue. I only have a small piece for this fabric, so only enough for the outer area and the side area. Then I matched it with the same fabric but in cream color (small piece too) and also polka dots in dark blue with cream color background. The best part is the Rosie snap button. I just love it.

So, how does she looks? Hopefully her new owner will love her.

The size for this wallet is suitable to put in the pant's pocket.

Oh~ I just addicted to make wallet & wallet. Still haven't have the chance to make one with fabric that I choose myself. I will definately do it someday! Till then, stay tune!
